Pink | A Color that Inspires

Pink | A Color that Inspires

October is one of my favorite months of the year and I’m sure it is special for many other people as well. It holds different celebrations such as Halloween in USA, Columbus Day in America, Thanksgiving in Canada, Pablo Picasso’s Birthday in Spain, and many other occasions as I have found while doing my research. These moments allow us to get together and share a good time with the people we love. However, I believe that there is one particular celebration that supersedes them all. This particular event is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It brings us all together as one entity in the world as it affects all women in the world.

Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among women worldwide today, even when 90% of the cases can be cured if detected at its early stages. With a figure like that, The St. Regis Punta Mita joins the global campaign inviting guests to support the cause by participating in its Pink October activities.

The Resort has created “Pink October”, a 31-day program to support the cause and bring education and awareness about this disease and raise funds to support FUCAM, (Breast Cancer Association of Mexico AC) a fun, colorful and strong campaign inspired by this meaningful color.

Among the activities throughout the month, the St. Regis Punta Mita guests will find a unique Pink Menu at the 5 Diamond Carolina Restaurant, a fun Pink Cocktail Menu to match the soft pink colors of the Sunset, a 5K Pink Run on October 26th open to all the people interested in supporting the cause, a relaxing “Pretty in Pink” spa treatment (this is on my To-Do list for sure!), online auction and other different activities.

So, it is time to invite my friends, take those dusty tennis shoes out of closet, download my running app and get PINK!
